"Christian Craighead is a bad example to young soldiers. His mutineer attitude promotes lawlessness in the military." – British military top brass

Introducing the CWC MUTINEER
The Mutineer is a watch born from a unique collaboration between CWC and @theministryofdefence. This exceptional timepiece combines the finest craftsmanship with innovative features, meticulously designed to meet the highest standards of precision and functionality on both land and sea.

Quote from Christian Craighead:
"As a young soldier in the Parachute Regiment, I relied on a CWC watch but never dreamed I would one day have the opportunity to design my own. That fateful day in January 2019 was yet another reminder to always favor an AUTOMATIC watch over a smartwatch that needs charging.

The Mutineer, crafted to my exact specifications, is not only the perfect blend of functionality and style, but has several subtle elements reflecting my own military experiences.

Individually numbered, each one secures its place in the world of significant pieces. This initial limited release sets the stage for the Mutineer’s exclusivity, while making sure it will always remain a prized possession."

CWC Mutineer

Amazing watch and extremely durable. I love the story behind the mutineer watch. It gives a classic look but stands out with the details for Christian Craighead. I work as a police officer in the US, and it serves as a reminder for Here I am Send me.

CWC Mutineer

Excellent operational watch as you would expect from CWC. Great in any environment, easy to read in low light and visually a pleasure to observe. I love my 1987 SBS re-issue also but the benefits of the Mutineer over the 87 is the automatic movement means you needn’t worry about the battery stopping at the most inconvenient moment. You can guarantee your going to be able to keep time wherever you are without the risk of having to sort out a battery change or another watch, something that has happened to me many times over the years with other watches. There is never a convenient time for a watch to stop which is always a risk when battery operated. The rotating bezel is always a welcome addition for marking time on the move with the 120 click giving you the extra level of accuracy handy for all manner of things in any professional or personal circumstance. Like I mentioned it’s easy to read in lowlight without overtly standing out like a Bulldogs walnuts when trying to remain discreet. It’s a good traveller watch to blend in as it’s not overly flashy but recognisable to those few in the know. The subtle markings the bezel and inside the 9‘0 clock position paying homage to Christian Craighead along with his Ministry Of Defence 12 0‘clock illumination is always a nice reminder of the heritage of the watch along with the unique caseback you would expect from CWC the issue number of mine just do happens to also be my year of birth, complete chance issue but privileged and grateful to have had it fallen that way adding extra sentiment to the watch. I definitely wanted the watch but was on the fence as to whether to part with the cash for it, but very glad I did as it is my go to watch professionally and personally. The fixed bars I prefer as I find them more reliable having had watch straps break off at the spring bars on other watches I have had prior to CWC also makes fitting single pass a d NATO straps a breeze with no fuss or tools required allowing you to change the tone of the watch to your taste with an unlimited choice of straps and keepers available out there, CWC, Zulu Alpha and Watches Of Espionage all compliment very well. I am a fan of the original black CWC NATO that comes with it though for its, simple, unassuming but sturdy and reliable design. CWC as a company have to be rated as not only an excellent watch maker but a great company for customer services always on hand to discuss anything with you and assist with any queries you have. Great company ands great watch would highly recommend!
