1983 Royal Navy Divers Quartz Re-Issue Watch (RN300-83 QS60)

Item code: 73589

Due to numerous requests for upgrades, this watch now comes with sapphire glass as standard.

In 1983, CWC produced the first quartz divers' watch for the Royal Navy and this reissue has been made to the same specifications, with SuperLuminova (as Tritium is no longer available). The T on the dial remains for historical correctness.

The quartz version was specified by the M.O.D. to include a polished case, sword minute hand, Tritium dial and luminous bezel. This continued throughout the 1980s. In the early '90s, the hands and bezel changed.

We take great pride in producing timepieces worn by British forces for fifty years.

Retired Submariner

In 1967 I purchased the Rolex Submariner from the NAAFI. In 1972 I lost my Rolex when I woke up on the deck in the dockyard on Gibraltar.
After numerous Rolexes and an Omega Planet Ocean, today I finally purchased the 1983 reissue Divers watch. It looks great on my wrist. Thanks Silvermans I’m very pleased with my purchase.

Track time with a Time Machine

If you have ever wanted to touch the past, wear it even; then this watch is for you. Beautiful finishing and quality construction make this watch what it has always been: a well made tool to tell time in extreme places. On the wrist it is a joy to wear, yes fixed bars limit straps, but it isn't meant for a bracelet and besides nato straps give much variety. I'm a US NavyVeteran and I still dive both for work and myself and I've proven to myself this is a fantastic and tough underwater tool, exactly what it is meant to be. Buy one, bash it up, and tell stories about the case scars over a pint . I will, for my part, be buying an auto version soon.

Old School and all the better for it.

My 1983 RN Re-Issue arrived yesterday.
I am very impressed with the quality and that the team at CWC took the trouble to set the watch to my time zone - UTC -5. My watch is wearing leather straps now, but I feel the pull to put a NATO strap on it for authenticity.
Compared to my other dive watches it's positively svelte, which is a huge plus as this watch is now my daily driver.

1983 Diver Reissue

This watch is my favourite, I am so pleased with it. Absolute perfection, I've been wanting one of these for a long time, and it was well worth the wait. Beautifully made, and you really have to see that awesome vintage patina on the lume. This will be my go to watch and will stay on my wrist for a long time. Not cheap, but really worth every penny ! I've yearned for one of these ever since I was in the Royal Navy years ago !
