Introducing the 1987 reissue edition dive watch, the first black CWC divers' watch manufactured for the Special Boat Service with day/date.
Arguably one of the rarest and most sought after SF military dive watches in history, with possibly less than a handful of original examples remaining. This is the SBS divers' watch that many customers have been searching for, that honours the history of one of the most elite special forces units in the world. CWC is proud to have been contracted to manufacture this watch over three decades ago, and we still produce the latest SBS derivative issued to Royal Marines and Royal Navy currently.
The RN Divers watches proved themselves to be worthy successors to the issued watches of the 60s and 70s and the SBS Diver was no exception. Designed to meet the toughest demands of deep diving missions, underwater surveillance, mine clearance, battlefield and dive engineering, it is a tool watch in the purest sense of the word that will perform in the most extreme conditions.
In April 1987 the MOD (N) specification was signed by the officer commanding RM in Poole Dorset, requesting CWC to produce the Black SBS Divers watch on behalf of the Royal Marines.

It's a great Watch, I really like it. The only thing is that the besel is misaligned
The watch is just great. I enjoy it every day and I have a really hard time to put it off for my mechanical time pieces. I combine it with a CWC olive green nato or a bond strap, which I really like.
Also the service from CWC due to an issue was superior. Hardly ever had such a good support. This will not be my last CWC.

I own 5 CWC. I have never been disappointed, always been impressed. The SBS reissue is simply incredible. The quintessence of action watches, reliable in all circumstances and already steeped in history. "By strength and guile". Greetings from France.
Waited a while for these to be released again and was lucky to finally get one. Well worth the wait and the watch looks better in the flesh, Super quick delivery. Very happy indeed, if you can get one just buy one.
Over the moon to finally be lucky enough to purchase one of these iconic timepieces after a long long wait. A fantastic looking watch that is beautifully built and presented. Being ex-forces, the history of this watch is important but also to own a great looking piece of craftmanship. Thanks CWC!!
