In 1980, the first quartz watch issued to British Forces was made by CWC. The old logo was used for a couple of years and was changed to the oval logo in 1982. The early G10s were nicknamed Fatboy as the case was deeper than the current models due to earlier deeper movements.

The last CWC G10 issued was around 2008 and is the same watch today, just as rugged, reliable, accurate and dependable as it has always been. (Super-Luminova is now used instead of Tritium)
Supplied on a Cabot military grey 18mm with gloss silver buckles as standard.

Long in service, still going.

Impressed by these watches during my service (Army, 1980s), asked a friend visiting the old country to get one for me from Silverman's. It has had a few replacement batteries in almost twenty years of regular wear, the strap is starting to fray, and the tritium has given up, but it still keeps accurate time.

Utter junk

After initially giving this watch a 5 star rating and having lived with it for 10 days this is what you might be potentially buying. The watch glass/plastic scratches terribly, the watch let's in water and I'm talking rain not submerged, its time keeping is out buy 13 seconds in the 10 days, strap is cheap and the lume glows for around 15 minutes after charging. This is on par with a £30 timex really don't waste your money it really is a bad watch

Delighted with my G10 watch.

I have been looking at CWC G10 watches on EBay for quite a few years now and was deliberating on whether to buy a reasonably priced model with scuffs and scratches or a mint watch at an exorbitant price or maybe even a copy. I was unaware that they have been available new direct from CWC and was chuffed when I came across the CWC site. I ordered my watch on a Friday evening with standard delivery and expected it to arrive by the next Wednesday or Thursday, regretting later that I didn’t opt for a quicker delivery. It arrived on the Tuesday with CWC posting on the Monday by Special Delivery; - thank you guys for the upgrade. The watch itself is fantastic quality and looks great, with the grey strap complimenting it perfectly. Although these watches are extremely tough and for everyday use I intend to keep mine pristine. Sometime in the future if I’m lucky to have a few extra shillings I will consider a CWC chronograph, (hopefully).

Great watch.

I love it.
I'd been looking for something practical and sturdy. Nice but not showy.
This is perfect.
